Monthly Archives: December 2017

WWW was enjoyable because I did lots of new activities that I had no experience. Such as ziplining, rafting, rock climbing and etc. My favorite activity was ziplining. There were 4 courses 100m,200m, 300m, and 300m but a little bit higher. I thought it will be super high and scary but it was not. Hopefully, the length was not that long and height was not that high.

Rose:  I think I got to know more of the other people. First I felt sad for one of my roommate because except for her everyone was Korean but after all, we talked a lot with her so now I think we got to know each other more.

Thorn: I think all the things went fine and nothing was bad.

GOAL:  My goal is to have at Least 5 incorrect words and 150 words total… by May 2017.

Schools should not) be responsible for punishing cyberbullies because cyberbullying is happening outside of school not inside. For example,  “He said the school could not suspend his daughter for something that happened outside of school” and a judge agreed (Crime and punishment). The evidence indicates that even the judges agreed that cyberbullying is an outside problem not involving school. If schools punish cyberbullies outside of school, then schools may also punish students for other outside problems such as...  If schools try to punish the cyberbullies for an unrelated problem, then that is also known as they have to punish that is an after all problem so students will feel pressured. Therefore, Schools should not punish cyberbullies if that is happening outside of school. This is the student’s and the cyberbullies’ problem, not the schools, but if the schools want to care of punish then I think that is kind of like a connection.

Schools (should/should not) be accountable for disciplining cyber bullies because students don’t need teachers or other people to help themselves.     One reason is that maybe students want to solve the problem with their family and himself privately. To illustrate, some SSIS students want to be more responsible so that they solve the problem by himself for example: quit social media, make their account private and make time limits on using technology This shows that sometimes teachers don’t  really need to be involved in the issue. As a result, students don’t always need teachers help even though cyberbullying is their harassment.

  1. What new insights do you have into cyberbullying? What aspects of this problem do you know about now that you weren’t aware of before?

First I thought cyberbully was not that serious but after I learned more about this topic, now I know that this issue is more serious then I think.

2. What did try throughout the writing process? How did it help you be successful?

Reading the article again one more time, maybe watching some video about it and after I finished my paragraph reading and looking through one more time.

3. What is your biggest take-away from our class discussions about this topic? Why?

The biggest take away was knowing each other's opinion and perspectives because I get to know why there thinking like that and how. So sometimes I get inspired by there ideas.
