S.S8 Human Rights Project Reflection

In this project I along side a few group members created a trifold about the issue “Human Trafficking”, we focused on improving/learning how to plan and execute projects and work together with teammates to finish on time. This is an important skill because it will help me work with team members better.  One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to Communicate and create plans for the group. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished. How did my collaboration with classmates help me focus my ideas or provide new insights? My teammates helped a lot by creating plans and working on different things. Work is much more efficient when the work is split amongst the teammates. It makes sure everyone is contributing. For example Jihwan and I would work on the trifold while Minh and Kayla made the flyer.   How did my consideration of my “user” influence my work? When discussing the design plan for the flyer, we had to consider what the “user” of the flyer would be. In our case, the user would be people who buy coffee to be more specific wealthy people who buy coffee since the coffee shop we were going to give to was an expensive brand. We created our flyer to appeal to the user. What did you learn from visiting other exhibits? I learned how their group planned and executed their project as well as their topic. I also learned what they did as a group to finish their goals. One group offered stickers in exchange for signatures. Another group created a 3d model of a house which doubled as their trifold. Everyone had projects unique to their group which was very interesting to see....

Social Studies Human Rights Project

These past few weeks, I along side Jackson explored the topic known as “Human Trafficking” We researched and created 3 paragraphs about the Issue, Causes, and Solutions. After that we created little flyers raising awareness of human trafficking and handed them out in coffee shops. We designed the flyer specifically so it will cater to the people in the coffee shop. We then created a Trifold showing everything we did and to educate people about the multiple organisations.   Q:Did anything surprise you? If so, what? A:I was very surprised how long it took to finish our Trifold. Most of the time my group and I would go and work on it during lunch and some even stayed after school. While it may look plain and not really sophisticated, It took very long to make.   Q:What were your initial expectations? Have these expectations changed? How? Why? A: I expected for the trifold to be finished earlier, but our group kept adding more and more until we finally decided on a plan. Though we still have not finished our trifold, We have a plan and all of the materials needed to finish and polish our...

Q:what are your worst professional qualities A: There are some times where I procrastinate, and lose focus of work. This is my main flaw with working. I like being social, so I might interact with associates a lot which can distract me from my work. It’s hard for me to resist the urge to procrastinate.

The last DBQ of S.S

– How did time impact my work? A: I didn’t have lots of time to work on the essay at home so most of my work was written in class. This made it really hard to work on the DBQ because of the stress created by the time. If I had more time It would be better.   Bright spot
