In Social Studies class, for Current Events, we finished presenting our first 3 articles about our specific Human Right. My human right is about Slavery – Past and Present, Nobody has any right to make us slaves. We cannot make anyone our slave. I found 3 articles that related to my topic. The first article is about an illegal worker scam. The second is about National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Finally, the third article is about the end of slavery in Ohio.
From these articles, I learned that although people say slavery ended in different countries, there are still many forms of slavery going on around the world. It is illegal, yet they continue to do many forms of it. In the previous days when slavery was still legal, slave owners tortured them in different ways than what they are doing today.
