I’m not saying that all the poor people are bad, I’m trying to say that some of them turns to the bad side of society, the criminal side. They decide to deceive others with their poor appearance, or steals others’ stuff. It’s true that some government won’t bother help their own people, but that doesn’t mean all of them. Even though they do help, they only spend a minimal amount of money. And like I have mentioned in another comment, not all poor people are ‘animals’. There are the ones who are trying their hardest to improve their lives, those are the ones that are worth attention.

In my point of view, there are the few poor people who are struggling to get an education, those are the ones I feel sympathy for. But what about those who won’t try to improve their lives and only beg for money, or sometimes they gather in crowds to force a tourist or a pedestrian walking by to give them money? Those are the ones who don’t worth anything to society. There are the parents who are trying to give their children education to improve their lives, why is it that those people aren’t cared for and only the ones with no use always get the money?

This is an excellent post! This really got me thinking about the poor people that i hear have nothing, and they need our help, and things like that. Some people become poor because say, there job goes bankrupt, they get laid off because their not needed anymore, or they are forced to make difficult disions in their lives and they make the wrong choice.

You talk about poor people like they are animals. Poor people are different from you and me, but only because they weren’t given many chances to make a better life, like ms. Holley said. Maybe people make mistakes that effects the ammount of money they have. I also agree with you on the point that some governments don’t help the people. Some countries are too proud to be helped by other people.

I strongly disagree with your post. For one, people do not cause violence or issues because of education. Rather, it is the other way around. People who are not educated do not have opportunities for work or skilled labor, which often is the path to better standards of living and less crime. Sometimes people become murderers, alcoholics, drug users, or prostitutes because they haven’t been given a chance – even those ‘bad’ parents. Be careful of judging people to quickly. I think that most people, when given a chance for a better life, would take it. Can’t educated people also be crooks and murderers? You talk about corrupt governments. In essence the people in these posts did receive an education. So now that you are educated, do you have a responsibility to help others out of poverty or not? Ms Holley

The topic of this assignment is “How can we help achieve the Millennium Development Goals” so you should first talk about the Millennium Development Goals before getting into education.I agree with your idea of eduction, but HOW can we achieve it? You say that: countries must do something about it, but if those countries already are short on money, how are they going to achieve education?
