Everyday, millions of shoes were produced, and millions of them were bought. We concern about the environment and how it is polluted, but millions and shoes were still produced, and and millions of them were still bought. As a consumer, it is true that all of us, to a large extent, are unaware of how the production of these shoes take place, and the effects it creates in a daily basis. Corporations has taken care of everything. All we know about corporations is the brand name that they appear under, the products they produce and whether they are reliable or not.

A corporation is a group of people that work together for a same and only goal: making money. Corporations have the rights of a legal person which allows them to sell, buy, sue and be sued. The first corporation, however, was set up to help the public  but as time goes, they figured that they can make profit for themselves by working together. Today’s corporations are set up to serve public, but are also harming the public in a variety of ways. Polluting the environment is one of them.

As a result of production, these corporations instead of executing the waste, they dump everything into river, without knowing the harms. China’s rivers have been covered with toxic and affected the bio-diversity, and human. With reckless concerns, these corporations try to minimum their cost of production and instead of paying billions of dollars to have these trash executed, they rather pay the fine they are charged since it is a small amount from their profits. They actually prepare for these kind of fines before hand as long as it is beneficial. This doesn’t stop. As long as these corporations can bear with the fines, which will last forever, the river and clean air and water will be polluted and the corporations keep getting profits with reckless concerns of what they have done. That is how a typical corporation would act in order to achieve its goal of making money. Do we hear about this on the news? Once in a while, yes, but most of these we never heard of. Maybe we don’t even know the river next to our house is filled with toxic.
