Iphone’s problems…
In this decade, apple is one of the most electrical technology company in the world. One of its popular products is Iphone. The newest version of Iphone is 3gs. It is expensive because with an unlocked Iphone, you have to pay at least 1000 U.S. $ per one. It seems that most of countries in the world sale iPhone with that price. However, Viet Nam is the only country that you can buy an Iphone 3gs with only about 3-5 millions vnd, an attractive price that everyone can afford. The question is how Vietnam can sell Iphone with price like that?
The problem started on March 26th, 2010.
Two Vietnamese wireless carriers, Vinaphone and Viettel, both declared that their stores have all three iphone models: 3G-8GB, 3Gs-16GB, and 3Gs-32GB. This news has spread through Viet Nam and every people were ready to buy Iphones for themselves. Before that, customers heard that they only needed to pay around 3-5 millions vnd for an Iphone, which is cheap. With only 4 millions vnd, a luxurious Iphone can become a popular one.
However, the truth behind that price is a big-unexpected surprise. When a customer buys an Iphone with 4 millions, he has to pay for every next 7 months about 1 millions vnd. At the end, an Iphone costs as least 10 vnd millions vnd. This news has shocked every customers, and they have to consider to buy an Iphone. Will they spend 10 millions vnd on an Iphone?
The answer is clearly no. The reason is nobody has money to buy an Iphone. Vietnam is not a rich country, people can only afford 5 millions vnd for a cell phone. Moreover, the real price of an Iphone in Viet Nam is about 1300 USD.
That is not the only problem which is caused by Iphone. For rich people, they are pleased to pay for a luxury Iphone. But they have problems with 3g-internet. If you buy an Iphone, you can freely download anything in 5GB. After that, you have to pay 1 million vnd/1GB for anything you get from the internet. This is the biggest mistake caused by Vinaphone. They did not tell the customers about 3g-internet when they bought Iphones. Instead, they just sent an email to every customers. Some of the customers have not received any email. Because of that, customers just downloaded as many documents as they liked. At the end, some had to pay over 50 millions vnd. The customers were very angry and they threatened to sue Vinaphone. Once again, Iphone has caused a serious problem to every customer in Vietnam.
Iphone maybe popular in MEDCs, but not in LEDCs and Viet Nam is an example. It shows that not everyone can have Iphones. It depends on money, material.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
