What would the earth’s history look like if we could condense it down to one day? When would life appear: 2 pm? 6 pm? When would dinosaur come into the picture, 8 pm?
This coooperative group project combines many strands of science including living things from our unit on “Diversity of Life”, chemical changes from “Into to Chemistry” and changes to the earth in “Inside Earth”. Students reported on a specific time in earth’s history, researched it and made a display that they thought captured what was happening based on the evidence we know.
I would love any comments on this. I think to have every student do one specific time was the best way to go rather than have 22 different videos of the earth’s history. How can I make the research more coherant and valid, and have the slides jump with life?
