Using Khan Academy

To ensure online safety and security for all SSIS students, we have set up Khan Academy accounts through our SSIS internal servers.  Students are using Google Education accounts that have been created in a partnership between Google and SSIS.

To log in to Khan Academy please follow these instructions. (Click on pictures to enlarge them.  Click the back button to return to these instructions.)

Log in to Google Mail using your SSIS username and password.

 

Go back to the SSIS Links page and choose "Khan Academy."

Open a new browser tab and go to www.khanacademy.org. Click the “Log in” button in the top right.

Click the “Google” option and wait.

 

Allow Khan Academy access to your Google account. This is perfectly safe. Google will only share your email address. Your password and personal information will not be shared.

Be sure to check your notifications.  Your teacher may request that you join a group or give you challenges.

You should follow these steps each time you log into Khan Academy.  You should now be able to access Khan Academy from any computer or tablet browser.  Have fun and explore to see what you can discover at Khan Academy!

Click “Login” at the top right corner.

Be sure to include the “@ssis.edu.vn” part!

Now confirm your SSIS username and password.  This time just use your username (not @ssis.edu.vn).

Summer Learning Loss

“Summer Learning Loss” is a term used to describe a loss of academic skills and knowledge over the course of the summer when students are not regularly attending school.  Your brain is like a muscle.  The less you use it the weaker it becomes.

Did you let your brain get weak over the summer by not using it!

Sumdog at SSIS

Hello Mathematicians!

This is a fun math site that has many games and activities for you to explore.  You can log-in to your account using the username and password your teacher shared with you.  Once you log-in for the first time you can change your username and password, but don’t forget it!  Once you change it, you are responsible for keeping it safe and secured!

Sumdog allows you to compete against other students from all around the world.  You earn points that can then be used to purchase things.  The games are often fast paced and challenging.

So log-in, have fun, and show everyone that SSIS is full of mathletes!
