Peru is giving an apology to its African citizens due to the years of abuse, exclusion and discrimination. About 5-10% of Peru’s population is based on Africans and their ancestors have been brought to their land as slaves by the Spanish Colonizers. The apology was said to show Peru’s true integrity of multicultural population. A ceremony is being planned to celebrate this move forward toward breaking the boundary that nurtures racism.

Peru is not the only country to have apologized for the mistreatment of Africans but they simply moved a further step toward peace. Their apology was a gesture of gratitude and realization of their wrong deeds because when the slaves were brought over art, cuisine and a lot of more cultural traits have been adapted by the Peruvians.

This is what i think all living creatures should do, accept their wrong deeds and be grateful for the things they gain from being with this new change. Apologizing could be so much larger than simply saying sorry to someone. This movement or act is a very inspirational act for young students such as me. I may call this a sollution to war and other issues on this world, a simple and nice apology.

indonesia-earthquake-5

Indonesia has been struck with natural disasters and the minister (Tifatul Sembiring) is blaming human kinds immorality. TV and other media corrupt the mind and cause humans to lose their morals says Tifatul Sembiring . According to him the natural disasters are still to come.

Hearing his call “god” has sent a message, another earthquake in late December. His calls didn’t stop there, he demanded for tougher laws after seeing the DVD’s in a store. However, due to his demands and statements people have become angry and annoyed by his actions, they ask why does he care about the immorality of people when 1000 of people have died from the earthquakes.

I can see how people were mad about this dull idea of immorality. Instead of worrying about media i’d prefer Tifatul Sembiring to worry about greater things, he is the minister. He some how also has created a loop in his opinion, morality is it not the proper thinking? and helping other humans? Well he isn’t being moral himself if he is telling the world to be as once a great man said “You have to be the change you want to see.”

decadence : behavior

Sumatra, Indonesia: Orangutans Going Going Gone?

orang-utan

Orangutans are being trained and taught to survive in Sumatra Indonesia. because they are being raised by human hands their trainers are guiding them also to adapt to the outside forest. Orangutans are apparently very vulnerable creatures due to their breeding cycle. Not only is that a factor to cause their extinction but also human manipulation with the world. Sumatra has already lost 85% of its natural forest so orangutans will have rough times surviving. The destruction is caused by us humans to gain palm oil, paper and pulp, those resources demand the act of cutting down trees. Due to that the orangutan population has dropped towards 6000.

For now endangered species are housing at the sanctuary, a project, to preserve and help the endangered species survive. However, the paper companies want to turn the park into a plantation, but in good news the companies haven’t received a permit yet and there won’t be problems for now.

Just to be sure though it is interesting how selfish the companies are acting. Endagered animals live their lives inside a small park. With what ever forest left they have the paper companies still want it for themselves, concidering how much smarter it would be to simply recycle all the used paper. I am sure that there are lots of used pieces of papers in garbage dumbs to replace probably a forest. I think some rights should be given to the animals because aren’t we suppose to show manners inside a persons house? (forests in the animals case)
