Filed under: Carlie, Electives — Carlie at 11:47 am on Thursday, June 3, 2010  Tagged ,

Scratch Scratch Scratch. What I learned more about programming and putting sounds onto scratch. Also I learned that you have to work well with others to do this project. The collaboration part of the project was interesting because we had to agree with people that were 1,000 miles which was really hard. Then at the end of project where we had finish the project by self because the group had finished ict there class. Ict was fun this because we got to work with scratch one more time.

Math – Congruence

Filed under: Carlie, Math — Carlie at 9:23 am on Thursday, April 29, 2010  Tagged ,

What I learned about congruence is that you have to do some algebra. Then you have to do simple math “things” also. If  you look at y – 3 = 10. The 10 comes from the other shape because both shapes should be congruent. In the diagrams the  shapes are just flipped a little bit to make them look different.

The poetry anthology is we anlyze a poem. Then we are going to learn about different types of poms. The reason I picked O Captain My Captain is because it’s one of my favorite. The reason I picked because it’s one of mine my mom and my sister favorites poems.

By Walt Whitman

Poetry – online.com. 20 April.O Captin my Captain. 2003. Poetry -online.com

O Captain my Captain! our fearful trip is done,

The ship has weathered every rack, the prize we sought is won,

The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting,

While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring;

But O heart! heart! heart!

O the bleeding drops of red,

Where on the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.

O Captain! my Captain! rise up and hear the bells;

Rise up–for you the flag is flung for you the bugle trills,

For you bouquets and ribboned wreaths for you the shores a-crowding,

For you they call, the swaying mass, their eager faces turning;

Here Captain! dear father!

This arm beneath your head!

It is some dream that on the deck,

You’ve fallen cold and dead.

My Captain does not answer, his lips are pale and still;

My father does not feel my arm, he has no pulse nor will;

The ship is anchored safe and sound, its voyage closed and done;

From fearful trip the victor ship comes in with object won;

Exult O shores, and ring O bells!

But I, with mournful tread,

Walk the deck my Captain lies,

Fallen cold and dead.

In Science class I learn about how carbon works in the world. The diagram tells that the plants soak up the sun light (Photosynthesis).Then a animal eats the grass or other plants that how it obtains it’s food. Then the animal dies it turns into a fossil fuel this takes about million years or so. Then comes back to the trees release more carbon dioxide. We humans burn the fossil and this release carbon.

Facebook privacy is important because the things you do on facebook is private and to you only.Other thing about facebook’s privacy is that they have so many more things for the privacy setting that it’s confusing. Math- Learning about slope

Filed under: Carlie, Math — Carlie at 10:53 am on Friday, April 16, 2010  Tagged ,

In math we started learning about slope. What we have learned so far is about positive slope, negative slope ,Undefined then there is 0 slope. The slope in the picture is negative slope. The numbers on the slope are the coordinates for finding the slope. If there were o slope it just be a straight. Postive slope would be go up and to the right. Undefined line is  a vertical line

Face Project

Filed under: Carlie, Electives — Carlie at 2:53 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2010  Tagged ,

Face project was interesting and hard because you figure a lot thing. The reason it was interesting because you had pick lots of pictures that represent you.One picture that I chose was of a camera because I love not like taking pictures. I like taking pictures of nature. Another picture I chose was a flower this is a picture I took. BOOKS are my favorite hobby on the weekend. To read them. Then I put rain droplets because I like  listening and taking pictures of  rain. The one of the dog is my favorite because on maybe on Friday or Saturday  I will finally own a dog. The breed of the dog is  a Phu Quoc ridgeback the coloring of the dog is black. Last picture is tie dye because I love creating things lots and lots and lots of color in things.
