Two Minimalist Posters
↪How did it go conducting research? Triumphs? Challenges?
I found difficult conducting research on Da Vinci’s childhood. I was intrigued by Da Vinci’s painting “The Last Supper” because he used a completely different kind of paint.
↪What did you learn about yourself when you had to take notes?
I found it really easy to summarize because I can identify the main ideas. At first, I didn’t really understand direct quotations as a note-taking technique but now I know that they are useful because they can capture very important information and they also can make my writing more complex.
HISTORICAL NARRATIVE FINAL DRAFT
↪ What insights did you gain about narrative hooks that you may not have been so aware of before?
I now know that narrative hooks that we can use descriptive words to hook the reader more. I also am more aware of the adding “the why?” in my writing because my writing often doesn’t explain.
↪ What narrative hooks did you experiment with in your writing?
I experimented with the 5Ws and descriptive language. After I read my writing, it really caught my attention, even though I was the one who wrote it.
VLOGGING as a METACOGNITIVE STRATEGY
2 Historical Narrative Paragraphs VLOG
Historical Narrative w/ Musical Accompaniment VLOG
↪What discoveries did you encounter as you were vlogging?
When vlogging, I noticed that I’m more confident reading my work aloud. At school, there were people around me and I didn’t feel as confident.
When vlogging at home, I noticed that I made quite a few mistakes when I had to read aloud. Usually when I write, I don’t read my work aloud. Now, I know that I need to read my work aloud. I also realized that I stutter a lot even though I know what I’m supposed to be saying. Though, it’s not really a problem most of the time.
↪ What is your BIGGEST TAKEAWAY (BIGGEST LEARNING) from our Revolutionary Thinker’s Project?
My biggest learning takeaway is related to Leonardo Da Vinci and his notebooks. They were very detailed and they have a lot of designs. By looking at them, it shows a lot of imagination. Now, I wish to be more detailed in my sketch-noting because I want to show people what I’m thinking in my mind and I want them to imagine what I’m thinking.
