In this project on Human rights project, we focused on improving/learning how human trafficking works in Vietnam. This is an important skill because we have a cooperation with one of the groups in Vietnam to support us in this project and that helped us by giving us a lot of information about human trafficking in Vietnam. One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to work in groups. At first, I didn't work well with my group but after the project is over I thought to myself I worked with my group better than I thought I would. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished.

What are your best professional qualities for being a student?

Some of my strengths in being a professional qualified student is asking questions to the teacher, that will help the teacher to know where you are right now and that will give him/her an understanding about your strengths and your weakness. I use to not ask questions during class and when there is a test because I didn't ask any questions I would fail my test but after I ask more and more questions. I got a better grade than last time

What is your weakness of being a professional student?

In this project on DBQ final project we focused on improving/learning the imperialism in Africa This is an important skill because we can learn about some different colonies getting take over. One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to focus while working on my final DBQ for social studies. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished.

Reflection 2:

A strength I showed was my ability to giving a strong arguments in the essay also giving a clear evidence to my claim.

Something I should work on in my next essay is Develop other aspects of technology and how they helped drive imperialism plus their relationship to economics.

My Essay:

Without technology people won’t have came this far, technology gave a huge impact of European imperialism in Africa.Technology was important because technology improved our society a lot. It was an important role because it had developed our cure to some diseases, and better weapons. The Primary reason why the imperialism happened in Africa  was by the cause of technology. There is some truth to the argument that without economics, technology won’t improve throughout the history: however, improving technology will be a lot slower, but it can improve economics.

The Technology that Europe used was weapons and cure for tropical diseases. Weapons can lead to more casualties and be threatful to people than having a meeting and discuss the problem. Basically in document C, it is stated  that weapons such as Guns were used during the African imperialism. The evidence points to that during the imperialism, Europeans developed their weapons such as Maxim gun (First machine gun) and repeating rifle (A faster-loading gun that was able to fire multiple shots more accurately than older muskets). In document C, it said that in 1820, “Method of getting quinine from cinchona tree bark” which is a treatment for diseases and that helped a lot of people to fight back the tropical diseases such as Malaria. At that time most of the people died by diseases than be killed in wars. This example shows that if there were no cure to diseases, hundreds or maybe even thousands would have died by diseases. This means that without technology so many people would have died during imperialism in Africa.

Historians have argued that without economics, technology won’t improve as much. In document E, it shows that great Britain made more than 20 million dollars in 1900, and they used that money to improve technology in their country. The evidence indicates that without economics technology won’t improve as much because people using a lot of money to improve technology nowadays and that happens because of economics. Although some people claim that technology won't improve without economics, opponents argue that technology doesn't really need economics to improve they will improve as it goes on, but it will take some time. However, economics didn’t drive any forces to Africans weapons and cure  to africans because those were the things that Europeans used while they were taking over a huge continent . According to this evidence, this shows that without technology, Europeans wouldn’t have imperialized Africa. While economic benefits Europe, it didn’t benefits as much as technology did to Europe.

Although some people may still think economics had driven force in Africa. What really driven force in Africa is technology. Technology had driven force in Africa by finding out a cure for many different tropical diseases, and different developed weapons to imperialize Africa. So what do you think imperializes africa or was it technology or was it economics?

In this project on Enlightenment Thinkers  we focused on improving/learning philosophy thinkers talk about our society. This is an important skill because we learned how the enlightenment thinkers thought about our society. One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to focus on the enlightenment project and to see how was society back then. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished.
