Human Rights Project Reflection

In this project on Human Rights, we focused on learning about Human Trafficking. This is an important problem to learn about because human trafficking is all over the world now.  One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to collaborate with others. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished.

  • What did you learn from visiting other exhibits?

I learned a lot from visiting other exhibits. I really liked the cupcake station and the cookies. For the cookies station I learned how to use sign language to introduce myself and for the cupcake station, I got to learn a lot about the orphan impact organization and what they do there. I’ve also learned a lot about SOZO and what they do there because some of the other groups actually went to SOZO.

  • What will you do to continue your involvement with this group or social issue, or with other service work?

For our group, we didn’t work with any organization and decided to work alone. We created an infographic that includes interesting facts and nice pictures that was made by ourself. After we have the infographic done, we posted it on social medias to raise the awareness about human trafficking. We might continue raising awareness about human trafficking by creating more infographic and probably make some videos to raise awareness.

Human Trafficking Project

In this project, I worked in a group of three and we decided to talk about human trafficking all around the world. We decided not to work with any organizations and decided to just make an infographic and put it on social media to raise awareness.

What are the most difficult and most satisfying parts of the service you are performing? Why?

The most difficult part was the timing because there were a lot of things to do while there’s not much time left. The most satisfying part was my abstract paragraph because it has a lot of details to support the existing solution, and I was happy with the grade that I have for it.

How do you motivate yourself to to do this type of service?

Our group members all used different types of social medias, so it was really easy for us to raise some awareness by posting the infographic that we made onto the social medias. One of our group members, which is forrest and he’s really good at creating infographic.

Human Rights Facts

While looking at some books about Human Rights in the library, I had found 2 facts from 2 book call Slavery in Ancient Greece and Rome by Jacqueline Dembar Greene and the quote was “Before the Africans, Native Americans were the first victims of enslavement in America.” I’ve learned that Native Americans were the victims of enslavement even before the Africans. Another quote that I found was “Numerous African children were the victims of kidnapping. During Atlantic slave trade, bands of organized kidnappers roamed the countryside and seized the most vulnerable, usually children, whom they sold to European and American slave traders.”  This quote was found in a book called Growing Up In Slavery by Sylviane A.DioufOne thing that I learned while reading this quote was lots of kidnappers were finding Africans children to sell them to American slave traders for money.

Resume Reflection

  • What are your best professional qualities?

My best professional quality was explaining my experienced for the job that I’m going for. When I choose a job, I would choose the job that I actually have some experience for. Not like working, but like experience that are related to that job and would give me a better picture in front of other people.

  • What are your worse qualities?

I think that my worse qualities was introducing myself at the beginning. I think that it’s my worse qualities because I don’t know how to introduce myself to give others a good impression. I don’t know how to start it and it’s hard for me. Trying to make myself sound professional and like i always say, starting the introduction had always been a problem for me.

Imperialism DBQ

In this project on Imperialism, we focused on learning the driving force behind it. This is an important thing because in order to write a good DBQ, we need to know what caused it. One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to analyse more documents faster and more fluently. This blog post provides a reflection on my work as well as a sample of what I accomplished.

  • What helped me stay organized?

One thing that helped me stay organise was the graphic organiser that Mr. Post gave us. That graphic organiser helped me stayed organized by showing me what I need for my DBQ and by the time that I type it up, all I need to do is copy and paste from my graphic organiser to my document. The quizlet vocabulary also helped me stay organised because without it, I don’t know what word to include in my DBQ.

  • How did my classmate help me focus my ideas or provide new insights?

My classmate helped me focus on my ideas by giving me useful suggestions while doing peer editing. He also gave me some suggestions on what i should add and I what I should check so that I don’t turn in a piece of bad paper. I also think that he helped me with some of the background information by telling me what I should add in there in order to make a strong introduction.

Benefits of Music!

During this persuasive writing assignment, I’ve grown in a lot in my writing technique. I learned different type of persuasive technique to make my writing sound more persuasive and professional to the point where it actually got public. I had problem starting to write my first draft and finding my topic. Usually for me, it work different, I usually have problems writing my first draft because I don’t know what it’s going to look like. I feel like I did well providing the reader lots of facts and analysis but I think that I need to work on how to make my conclusion a bit stronger.

Toy Story 1 Movie Review

In this project on Toy Story 1 movie review, we focused on improving on pretending to be a philosopher and thinking like a philosopher. One thing I improved while working on this project is my ability to think as a philosopher. This blog post provides a reflection on my work, as well as a sample of what I accomplished.

  • How did time impact my work?

Time impacted my work because we can only make it 5 minutes or 5 minutes and a few seconds over or less than 5 minutes. We have to talk about the plot of the movie and the character and what we think as a philosopher. Otherwise, the time for the project to be due was just on time because it was pretty easy to film we as our philosopher and edit it on iMovie so that didn’t take a really long time.

  • What trouble did I have and why?

I had trouble writing down my thoughts as philosophers. At first I was really struggling with how to write my ideas down and think it the way that my philosophers would think. We also had to act like we’re the philosophers and also make a hat that represent our philosopher.
