So, I heard you like Eye-wear with Eye-ware

Google has stirred those technology fans with a trailer. Augmented reality eyeglasses, or whatever you like to call them. They interact with whatever you look at and you can use them as a planner. You can simply look up and bingo! GPS, reminders, video calls, weather forecasts…

Yep. More technology. Don’t choke on your food now. The glasses seem really cool, and almost futuristic, think about it, 50 years ago, a computer was the huge, about huge, about 100 meters squared, and 4 meters tall. Now we have a tiny thing that you can stick above your eye, with much more power that the first computers, sure, it would be great if it had some browsing function. Its kind of hard to walk around surfing the internet and still pay attention to the world around. Still, its awesome. Then what if you are lost? Or don’t have a GPS in your car? You had the internet at your fingertips a few years back. Now you have it in your face. How awesome is that? I think that in a few years, the technology for this will become better and better. Improving the functions, settings, and possibly adding an entirely new set of technology. 2 years ago, all you had to do was whip out a smartphone, and call people, take notes, check the weather, GPS. Now, all you have to do is look up.

Whats next? Wifi to the brain? Telecommunication? I was thinking how awesome it would make these glasses if all you had to do was think about it, instead of pressing buttons or anything. What if you could drive a car, just by looking left or right. Eye sensors?

Eh, the product hasn’t come out yet. Also, a iPhone has quite a bit of battery life. I’m pretty sure it wont be very inconvenient. Also the operating system is Android, that means no blue screens, or random error messages. If you smash them however though. Meh.

Of course, we are nowhere near

yet. However, you can say that this is a great step forward for technology, and a new genre of smart items.

Still. There are Cons. The thing is, this world is now too focused on technology. People are not solving world health/hunger problems, curing cancer or aids. We live in a world of Smart phones, tablets, computers… We need smart people. All of this new technology is good, but it makes me wonder, if we didn’t focus so much on making smart phones more awesome, if we could have found cures for cancer, AIDS, HIV or solved world hunger problems, unemployment, homelessness. If we care more about the human race than we care about making money. What if with all this automation, we will rely so much on electronics that we won’t even talk to each other in real life, even if we are next to each other, instead communicating using electronics. What if we become those blobs in WALLe? Its great that we are making our lives better for ourselves, but don’t we want everyone else to enjoy life? Why only us?

The American Revolution. Poems.

Haikus.

The British armies
force us into submission.
We shall stand our ground.

Teachers give homework,
give false illusions of hope,
and far fetched success

Essays are written,
not to educate us well,
but to provide death

Petitions against work,
from us are ignored, unread.
merely shoved aside

Homework is given.
Simply inevitable.
We are without hope

I would like some cash,
begging and pleading, nothing.
No! The painful truth.

A poem.

War against the British!

They are the hellish.

We fight for freedom

To do so is wisdom!

The time has come to strike

and to raise your pikes

Brothers! Speak forth your sentiments!

Some more Haikus

Navies and Armies
Will break upon us brave men,
Like water on rocks.

Double Haiku

Their ships do none good
and they sink our boats to inspire
fear and death throughout

We have been given,
The light to show us the way
Guide us to success!
