Algebra Reflection

*Summarize:

Recently, in Algebra 1, we have just completed our latest unit on inequalities and systems.  Although I have not received my assessment score as of yet, I have completed a form outlining my thoughts about my progress so far this semester.  My progress form can be found here:

Some highlights of my progress thus far are:

-I have improved my Positive Collaboration

-I STILL need to improve my asking skills. :D . I need to ask my teacher more questions!

-Algebra is something I CAN NOT DO AT THE MOMENT!

-A weakness I have is talking to my teacher. I don’t look for the time to ask him questions, probably because I’m not STRESSED?

Haiku’s for Wogglies

Legos come flying

Almost destroying my face

What an awesome fight

Hungry for good food

My buddies and I, sneaking,

and raiding the fridge.

Slicing and throwing

Knocking each other out cold

One simply cannot screw up other’s lives.

What the heck. Really. What the heck? Whats happening to the world now. Facebook, is selling our information? Our personal information?  They really are using us. Umm, yeah. You know what. Facebook is abusing our information. Sure, they allow us to sign up for free, give us a couple of annoying ads, which of course, they get money from. They they take our information and SELL IT. How does that make any sense. I’m extremely angry that they have decided to disrespect our information. How could they even do this. They don’t care how many lives that they are effecting. I’m just babbling at the moment, so I’m sorry, but HOW?

To me, this is how it goes. We sign up for facebook, to talk and connect to our friends. Sometimes we donate some money, and we click on their ads to look at something interesting. Both of which give them money. Everybody is happy. Then all of a sudden, they decide to make more money, by selling our PERSONAL INFORMATION. That is just plain wrong.

One does not simply sell my information, to some dude who wants to buy it. One simply does not do that.

No, they don’t. And what facebook is doing, is gonna cause a uprising. At least for me anyways. What I can see, is that if facebook keeps violating information, they will lose popularity. The power to sell is the power to destroy.

One does not simply

The key to life – PASSWORDS (and why you shouldn’t mess with them)

Have YOU, given a friend the key to your online life? If so, it’s OK! Just take a few precautions, in case things start getting hairy. I don’t really know what precautions you have to take, but there are a few features, after all, by giving someone the key, or the keys to your online life, you are showing them that you trust them. However, if that trust is placed in the WRONG hands at the WRONG time, you may find all your personal secrets no longer personal, and your life ruined.

For me, I haven’t bothered to give people a password, cause they don’t need it or they don’t deserve it. I probably wont ever do that any ways. I don’t want my life ruined, if things go south, or if my “buddy” messes it up by accident. However, I think of a good reason why people would like to share passwords and the like. Its cause they are not supposed to. Its kinda forbidden, and its exciting ’cause the person is kind of breaking the rules. Well, whatever makes you happy.

When I read this article, I wasn’t surprised. I wasn’t really surprised about how people exchange passwords so on, I was surprised because people don’t honor the trust, it’s like they don’t care. I can tell you though, that its much better, to leave your keys in your pocket than to share them with your friends. Show your trust in other ways.

Keys.

PS. I don’t mean literal keys, I mean metaphoric keys, what are passwords? Keys. :D
