Personification Prose

Destruction has high standards. He roams around, looking at all the buildings with disgust. He works as a demolition expert. He doesn’t like anything he sees. He loves bowling, especially when he knocks down the pins. He watches movies always supporting the antagonists. Mortal enemies with Construction and Creativity, and he has his own gang of goons, Death and Fear. He dreams of one day destroying all that he dislikes.
When he watches Lord of the Rings, he wants a Ring of Power to take over the world, when he watches Star Wars, he wishes he could conjure lightning and crush buildings, using his hand. When you lend something to him, you can forget about it, because he doesn’t take care of others’ belongings.
“Destruction is a beautiful thing. Destroying the old to make way for the new.” He would use as an excuse. Of course, he doesn’t clean up the mess. Creation, Creativity and Construction have to rebuild everything. That is if he doesn’t destroy them first.
Destruction doesn’t destroy simply physical structures. He can worm his way into your mind, and destroy your dreams, hopes and life. He has a sharp tongue, using it to crush others’ souls. Never to ease pain or to be helpful. He lashes out at the most unexpected times, stealing all you have worked for, and leaves you there alone with no one to comfort you. He demands to be respected. And feared.

How can we save the world, if the people in power choose not to. How can we tell the government to stop illegal lumbering or dirty industry if they are the ones doing it? How can we tell them if they will kill us if we do so? Most countries in SE Asia are as such. Greed motivates them to do so, for what? For green pieces of paper. Usually call money and possibly referred to as dough, cash, bucks, bones, paper, greenbacks, bills, you get the point. Humans are so greedy, that most will do anything to make money easily. Even if it means destroying something forever.
If you have ever watched Lord of the Rings, you will know that one of the reasons Sauron was not destroyed was because of the greed of men, the greed for power. It is very true with our world as well. Humans are greedy, some more than others, and many want power. Many people want to be president, or king and if there was a easier way, they would do it.
It is never right, to kill someone, and even worst to kill someone trying to make the world a better place. The final question that we must face is if we must save the Earth, how are we going to do so if the people supposed to be doing it are destroying it? How can we motivate them not to do it for the money, but for the future?
Marine Mutation Mania

You know something bad is going to happen when people start spraying random chemicals everywhere. Especially in the ocean. They used chemicals to dissolve the oil in the Gulf of Mexico, and guess what? Something bad happened. Surprise surprise. It is never good to add something artificial into nature, it is bad enough that there was an oil spill, then they make it worse by screwing up the marine life with chemicals that they don’t know well enough to see if it is fit or not for the environment.
Of course, I shouldn’t say much because our family uses cars, which run on gasoline, which comes from crude oil. Not to mention that I am extremely dependent on technology. There are also always 2 sides in any argument, and both usually have relatively valid reasons for doing something. No one is saving the environment, and a good reason is because it is not cheap. Accept it. Business cannot live with nature very well. Sure, there are organisations like WAR [Wildlife At Risk, not WAR where people shoot other people into pulp for oil]. The thing is, an organisation is not really a business. It is simply a group of people, trying to influence others to save animals, and usually non profitable. Humans are so greedy that most will not lay down a couple of bucks to save the world. Honestly, I wouldn’t either. It’s hard to make money, and many think that it is not their job to clean up what someone else messed up. If they have to clean it up, it will be in the cheapest form possible, and usually the most toxic too. That was what happened here. People talk about saving the environment, wildlife, and they tell us to preserve the natural resources.
The thing is though, if people have actually acted, we would be done by now, and this world would be a much greener place. Then many of the people who ‘go green’ only do it for a minute amount of time, and they do it for popularity. If we have managed to arrest all of the people killing the endangered animals, they would be safe, and we wouldn’t have to deal with this anymore. Yet, we are still trying to save the endangered animals, and not many people are helping, because they don’t want their money to be an endangered species.
Arsenic Poison
Arsenic is a great example of human greed, and how they don’t care about what effects items that give them money have on the environment and the world around them. Found in rat poison, and extremely hazardous, that doesn’t stop cigarette factories from adding it in their merchandise and making their products even more harmful. In cigarettes, it is used to preserve the cigarette for a longer amount of time, and is cheap, making it great for killing people and helping people receiving cancer faster. The businesses do not care for the public, and only care about making money. Are cigarettes not bad enough? Instead of resorting to a high priced less hostile preservation, they use the cheapest possible items.
So, I heard you like Eye-wear with Eye-ware

Google has stirred those technology fans with a trailer. Augmented reality eyeglasses, or whatever you like to call them. They interact with whatever you look at and you can use them as a planner. You can simply look up and bingo! GPS, reminders, video calls, weather forecasts…
Yep. More technology. Don’t choke on your food now. The glasses seem really cool, and almost futuristic, think about it, 50 years ago, a computer was the huge, about huge, about 100 meters squared, and 4 meters tall. Now we have a tiny thing that you can stick above your eye, with much more power that the first computers, sure, it would be great if it had some browsing function. Its kind of hard to walk around surfing the internet and still pay attention to the world around. Still, its awesome. Then what if you are lost? Or don’t have a GPS in your car? You had the internet at your fingertips a few years back. Now you have it in your face. How awesome is that? I think that in a few years, the technology for this will become better and better. Improving the functions, settings, and possibly adding an entirely new set of technology. 2 years ago, all you had to do was whip out a smartphone, and call people, take notes, check the weather, GPS. Now, all you have to do is look up.
Whats next? Wifi to the brain? Telecommunication? I was thinking how awesome it would make these glasses if all you had to do was think about it, instead of pressing buttons or anything. What if you could drive a car, just by looking left or right. Eye sensors?
Eh, the product hasn’t come out yet. Also, a iPhone has quite a bit of battery life. I’m pretty sure it wont be very inconvenient. Also the operating system is Android, that means no blue screens, or random error messages. If you smash them however though. Meh.
Of course, we are nowhere near
yet. However, you can say that this is a great step forward for technology, and a new genre of smart items.
Still. There are Cons. The thing is, this world is now too focused on technology. People are not solving world health/hunger problems, curing cancer or aids. We live in a world of Smart phones, tablets, computers… We need smart people. All of this new technology is good, but it makes me wonder, if we didn’t focus so much on making smart phones more awesome, if we could have found cures for cancer, AIDS, HIV or solved world hunger problems, unemployment, homelessness. If we care more about the human race than we care about making money. What if with all this automation, we will rely so much on electronics that we won’t even talk to each other in real life, even if we are next to each other, instead communicating using electronics. What if we become those blobs in WALLe? Its great that we are making our lives better for ourselves, but don’t we want everyone else to enjoy life? Why only us?

Haikus.
The British armies
force us into submission.
We shall stand our ground.
Teachers give homework,
give false illusions of hope,
and far fetched success
Essays are written,
not to educate us well,
but to provide death
Petitions against work,
from us are ignored, unread.
merely shoved aside
Homework is given.
Simply inevitable.
We are without hope
I would like some cash,
begging and pleading, nothing.
No! The painful truth.
A poem.
War against the British!
They are the hellish.
We fight for freedom
To do so is wisdom!
The time has come to strike
and to raise your pikes
Brothers! Speak forth your sentiments!
Some more Haikus
Navies and Armies
Will break upon us brave men,
Like water on rocks.
Double Haiku
Their ships do none good
and they sink our boats to inspire
fear and death throughout
We have been given,
The light to show us the way
Guide us to success!
Our War for Justice

Thousands of lives destroyed. All because of one man who wants power. The world will only have peace once the Power of Love surpasses the Love of Power. Only then, will the crimes be stopped, and children everywhere will have a taste of freedom. Smiles on every street. Not dead bodies.
To all of you out there, me watching this video also shows how corrupt and selfish many governments are, and how oblivious many of us are to those in trouble. The US government actually didn’t want to be involved, because the situation didn’t threaten their money and resources. Didn’t threaten their money. Didn’t threaten their money. What the? This menace captures over 30’000 children, thirty thousand. Yet the Americans still complain about 9/11, which deserves a lick of attention compared to this. They didn’t care enough about civilians so they drop 2 nuclear bombs on Japan. Not a second glance. 9/11, as terrible as it is, is nothing compared to Kony. Yet they say “it doesn’t threaten our resources. The lives of thousands of children, thrown away and America complains about how it doesn’t threaten their treasury, and then they make pizza a vegetable. After a uprising, they finally sent some troops but what they said cannot be undone. They are the ‘World Police’ right? Or is that just what they want to call themselves.
The pictures in the video, show us how easy our lives are here, but how much the African children have to do, just to live. They are kidnapped, and forced to kill people. There aren’t just a few of them, its 30’000 of them. 30 000 innocent human beings, forced to kill. All to keep this one devil in power. Joseph Kony. He isn’t raising this army for good, he is making his army to raise hell. That is the American perspective. Connecting to the paragraph above, the Americans only seem to like being involved when it comes to resources, what ever country has a tonne of resources, they conquer it.
All people are people, no matter where they are from, or what they believe in. There is no dominant race. These African children don’t deserve such a harsh life, of slaughtering.
Then, there is the power of technology that brought this scenario before me, urging me to do something. More precisely, it was the power of media. Without it, this treacherous human would have never had my attention. And although this video is only 30 minutes long, it makes many people want to be social activists, whom would have never given a lick of attention to this. I know, because I would have never cared about this, without looking at this video. In fact, when the video was just starting up, I though it was only going to be a waste of time.
I have also a peculiar thought, why though, would they choose April 21st, to stage quite a bit of their propaganda? For one, it is the Queen’s birthday (That also means my birthday), and that may be why they have chosen that particular date to start their revolution is something I have to look through. All in all however, it comes down to what people’s opinions are. So far so good. I hope terror in this world can end, not because of the governments, but because of us, the people.
PS. When I say the ‘Americans’ I mean the American government
The iMania Time of the Year

Another apple product? Ahhhhh.
Its that time of the year. The iPad 3 (most likely) is coming out on the 8th. It seems that as soon as you buy your apple product, its already outdated. 3-4 months ago we had the iOS 5 that came out. Apple will not slow down their rapid churning out of products. After all, that wont be good for business. I think that is excellent however, and that apple works extremely hard for this rapid innovation. I love it though because you don’t have to wait for a EXTREMELY LONG TIME for new features.
To the product. Possibly twice the resolution of the iPad 2. That is whoa. That would also mean incredibly high graphics. However, the game producer will have to quadruple the pixels that the game uses. I would also like to point out however, that games like God of War, could look really good on the iPad 3. That is of course, if the iPad 3 is going to be released. It could end up being a Apple TV set. I would prefer the iPad 3 though.
”A cheaper iPad
Some observers say Apple may try to challenge less-expensive tablets on the market. At $199, the Kindle Fire is $300 cheaper than the least-expensive iPad.” Cheaper would be good too. Apple products have overkill prices. Anyways, whatever this product is, I want to see it. I do wonder if they are not going to launch another iPad, but an entirely different product. Like the iMac, iPod, and iPhone, all together on one. Like I said, whatever this new product is, I want to see it.

*Summarize:
Recently, in Algebra 1, we have just completed our latest unit on inequalities and systems. Although I have not received my assessment score as of yet, I have completed a form outlining my thoughts about my progress so far this semester. My progress form can be found here:
Benjamin_Wong_II_Reflection_Algebra
Some highlights of my progress thus far are:
-I have improved my Positive Collaboration
-I STILL need to improve my asking skills.
. I need to ask my teacher more questions!
-Algebra is something I CAN NOT DO AT THE MOMENT!
-A weakness I have is talking to my teacher. I don’t look for the time to ask him questions, probably because I’m not STRESSED?

Legos come flying
Almost destroying my face
What an awesome fight
Hungry for good food
My buddies and I, sneaking,
and raiding the fridge.
Sam equals Softball
He loves it and is very,
competitive to.
Slicing and throwing
Knocking each other out cold
Hurts to be a knight
One simply cannot screw up other’s lives.

What the heck. Really. What the heck? Whats happening to the world now. Facebook, is selling our information? Our personal information? They really are using us. Umm, yeah. You know what. Facebook is abusing our information. Sure, they allow us to sign up for free, give us a couple of annoying ads, which of course, they get money from. They they take our information and SELL IT. How does that make any sense. I’m extremely angry that they have decided to disrespect our information. How could they even do this. They don’t care how many lives that they are effecting. I’m just babbling at the moment, so I’m sorry, but HOW?
To me, this is how it goes. We sign up for facebook, to talk and connect to our friends. Sometimes we donate some money, and we click on their ads to look at something interesting. Both of which give them money. Everybody is happy. Then all of a sudden, they decide to make more money, by selling our PERSONAL INFORMATION. That is just plain wrong.
One does not simply sell my information, to some dude who wants to buy it. One simply does not do that.![]()

No, they don’t. And what facebook is doing, is gonna cause a uprising. At least for me anyways. What I can see, is that if facebook keeps violating information, they will lose popularity. The power to sell is the power to destroy.
