Algebra Unit 2 Assessment Reflection and Goal

  • Now that you have completed two assessments, does your final grade (to-date) represent your learning of our Algebra thus far? Why or Why Not?
My final grade represents my learning, because I still struggle with different types of word problems. The grade makes me feel quite disappointed in myself, because I’d done so many practices on my own, and it still wasn’t enough. This tells me I should really spend a lot of time on practice on a regular basis, and ask questions on the problems I don’t fully understand, and I should keep working hard until I achieve the score I want to reach.

  • The class is half-way into unit 3.  What is your current goal for your unit 3 assessment?  Please describe your preparation for either the blue or green level assessment.

A goal I set myself to achieve is to ask for help from a teacher or an older sibling who has more knowledge in Algebra. I could find time to study with them and ask questions whenever it’s necessary, so that I wouldn’t have any confusing parts in the assessment to worry about. Practice would also be something I continue doing, because I think it was effective in the last test, but I could still review more and overcome fear of trying harder problems.
