Building Character through ESLRs

Everyday in school, almost everyone shows all of the ESLRs towards to their friends, teachers and also their friends. The ESLRs means, Expected School Learning Results. The ESLRs are also used to demonstrate respect and also much more to other people. In total there are 4 ESLRs that was created. Which is Academic Excellence, Sense Of Self, Balance In Life, and also dedicated service. These are the core values that the students use most of the time, because they’re very effective to use and also they’re like goals for them. The ESLRs can also be applied by adults because the four ESLRs are what people do everyday so it isn’t just school wide but world wide.

An ESLR that I demonstrate most of the time is Respect For All because when I was young, my parents thought me how to be respectful and also they said that if you’re respectful to another person they will also be respectful to them. I demonstrate Respect For All most of the time at my house and also school. When I meet a random stranger that is somehow connected to me, like my father’s friend, I would be respectful towards them so that they would think that I’m polite and not a disrespectful, unappreciative person. Also they would be happy and not mark me as the unwanted, also if I’m around them they would also treat me nicely. Respecting People have many advantages such as, they will most likely respect you for respecting them and also they will treat you with equal respect. Giving Respect For All can turn the person you demonstrate the ESLR to, a good friend of yours. Because they know that you are a humble and respectful person.

The Second ESLRs that I show most is Balance In Life, I show Balance In Life most of the time because almost everyday I try something new and I’m not always stuck to one subject and one subject only, instead I try many different things. I show Balance In Life in school and also outside of school because that is what I do almost everyday of my life. An example of Balance In Life is how I try different sports each year in school and also different after school activity every year. Not only do I just spend my time at school but I also hang out with friends at early dismissal and also at the weekends. From having balance in life I gain more friends everyday for socializing with them, making me less lonely every time I talk to them. Balance In Life helped me explore the world around me by introducing me to new things such as basketball. When I was at 4th grade I didn’t know that basketball existed but then I decided to follow the ESLR Balance In Life and try out for the team. Because of that I have a favourite sport that I just can’t get enough of.

An ESLR I could improve on is Dedicated Service because I only help people who I know because I don’t really help strangers I just say hello to them. Sometimes when someone needs help I ignore them because they’re either a stranger or a person who needs to do things on their own. Sometimes I also help strangers when they’re really in need, just like this morning when II went down my elevator a neighbour was carrying heavy weight so I helped him to bring the heavy things into the elevator since he is an elderly. I mostly show dedicated service to the poor and also the elderly because they really do need help not like most people who just need help for their own benefits. At time when I’m having a bad mood I wouldn’t want to help anyone and only care about my self, I think this is one of the bad habits that I have.

All of these ESLRs helped made the person I am today, without the ESLRs I might be another different person that is less respectful or more respectful. I am happy with the person I am today although maybe if I follow more of the ESLRs I would be able to improve farther than now. ESLRs are useful to me for everyday life because it have been like a guide to respect people for me. ESLRs also helped me to achieve some of my goals such as having lots of friends and trying different things every time.
