A Czech national was captured in Argentina for trying to board 247 live animals including poisonous snakes and endangered reptiles packed in a bulging suitcase. The man identified as Karel Abelovsky and he is 51 years old. He was trying to board to Madrid, until X-ray and staff at the Iberia Airlines desk at Ezeiza Airport in greater Buenos Aires noticed organic substances moving inside. When they open the bag, they found more than 200 reptiles and mollusks. Among them, nine species of poisonous snakes including South American pitvipers was packed in clear plastic containers: 15 venomous vipers, including two yararas and rare, protected animals by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.

“Organic substances moving inside”, the animals seem to be alive in that bag. How can the animals breath, when he is trying to hide them and put them in a place where there’s no light and no fresh air? I wonder what he is thinking? What is he planing on doing with those animals? What is going to happen to them? ”When they opened the bag, they found more than 200 reptiles and mollusks, among them nine species of poisonous snakes including South American pitvipers, packed in clear plastic containers.” See? He put them in containers and there are no holes for them to breath. Not to mention that he have nine world most poisonous snake. If these snake are able to escape, they can bite people. they can kill people too.

“Some of the animals were reported to be extremely rare and protected by the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species.” how did he capture these animals when they protected by the government? If there are people out there who can hunt protected animals, then the government to need to improve their protection program or hire more guards. You may asked,” Why are we doing this for the animals? They are not important. In fact, they can kill if they are able to escape.” Because these animals are rare and dangerous, we need to protect it more to make sure it would not kill anyone. If on hunter can kill these protected animals, then soon other hunters would be able to capture these animals as well. This is why the government should improve the protection of these animals.

By: Casey Chan

Deformities of sea creatures, eyeless shrimps, claw-less crabs, and fish without eye socket. What is happening in the sea? What is happening to the sea creatures? The BP (people who spilled the oil in the sea) people are destroying happiness in the sea and causing them to suffer. The scientist was able to prove that the sea creatures are deforming thanks to the chemical that the government have put into the sea to clean the oil that was spilled few years ago. Not only that, they also found out the later generations of those sea creatures that were deformed. Fisherman had never seen sea creatures that have tumor head.

If we were to eat those sea creatures, would our body be affected too? If so, are there any medicine and anyway that they could be cure? I felt frustrated because BP didn’t take responsibility and didn’t want to admit that their oil affects these sea creatures. They said it was “as safe now as it was before.” If it was safe, then why didn’t they take the credit, isn’t it a way to do sales for them? Base on the information, I can determine that the chemical that are being spread in the sea, is deforming the sea creatures.

If the sea around my community was spilled with oil, I would try to find a way to filter the oil without deforming the sea creatures. Are there any way to separate the oil and the water? When I learn about density in science class, I learn that water and oil can be separate because there densities are different. Oil is much heavier than water, and the result is that they can be separate. If the water and the oil can be separate, then the life of many sea creatures can be safe. If sea creatures are safe, then economy will become normal again, and we can continue eating seafood. IF we still want to eat them, we need to find a way to cure for them.

http://lingro.com/translate/http://www.guardian.co.uk/global-development/2012/apr/11/dhaka-bangladesh-slum-dwellers-eviction?newsfeed=true

What would you do, if your house was demolished right before your eyes in minutes, and you were forced to live in slums? Some people would fight back and others just leave. The people in Dhaka choose to follow their government’s orders. All citizen of Dhaka, have to move 10 feet away from the road wider, so that the government can create a wider road. Due to that, their houses are being demolish and they have to live in a life that has no bathroom and not enough food to serve the whole family. Now they’ve got nowhere to go, but wait until the government found a place for them to live.

I was mad at how the government was using their words to trick the citizen into believing them. They said that they would need 10 feet to make the road wider so that it would look more beautiful and more developed, but the truth is, they only wanted to destroy house and families who are poor. If they care for their people, they would at least find a place for the citizen before destroying 2,000 people’s homes. Have they ever thought about it? How will the citizen survived? How can they have enough money to buy another house or build a new house? They just don’t have enough money, they‘ve already pay taxes to the government and support the government by buying supplies. The governments are paid to create a better life for the citizen. Not destroy their homes.

Reading this article make me realizes that society is crueler than I thought. Taking people’s homes and happiness can be a crime. Everywhere I go, people talk about making peace and creating relationships, but that’s just talking. They never really put those words into action. It’s a waste of time, if they can’t make it come true. The citizens in Dhaka are suffering because of bad conditional life style and they have a government that can’t be trust. Through this article, I learned that there are people who can’t be trust and there people who have to follow orders to survive.

Imagine yourself as one of the girls in South Sudan, who were given to another family to pay for one of your member’s crime. Do you think they will treat you nicely? If not, what would you do? A girl name Atia who was sold when she was 8. Atia was forced to married her son from her new family. Everyday being force to do chores and was continuously raped by the men in her new family. One her husband is dead, she would be passed on to another man in the family. The cycle continues for 4 years, and the word suicide pop in her head many times.

As I finish reading the article, I realized that Atia were being sold as a property and were treated as a slave. Atia was a young girl and she did not kill anyone, so why did they trade her? Wasn’t her brother at fault? He was a murderer. I wonder why no one stood up to stop this nonsense. Who cares if this was their culture, these people are violating these girls’ unalienable right. These girls should have their own decision and do what they want to do. You men have no rights to control their lives. Did you know that we have become enemies of all women on planet Earth, if so, you stop that nonsense culture right now and create a new culture.

As a girl, I feel like women are not as important as men. In this world, Women should be treated better than men, since they can have children, do chores and earn money. They do much more than men. But then again, I also think that everyone is equal. It felt like the men in Sudan came from a different planet where women are properties. I guess there many things in this world that we don’t know of. I guess human is one of the world most dangerous creator.

Who would ever imagine that a collage student would go and shoot at people after a long absent. The police is yet to find the reasons why this student would killed seven people and injured three other people. The scene happens in seconds,in Korean Christian school in Oakland college.

The student”s name is Goh and were a naturalized U.S citizen originally from South Korea and a resident of Oakland who is believed to be a former student at the university. Goh surrendered after on hour after the shooting at Oikos University. Even though the police have enough evidence to prove that Goh was the one who use a handgun to shoot. they have not done anything. Why? I wondered.

What did they mean by ” We do not have a motive.” Does that mean they have not yet capture Goh. What other evidences do they need. They have the video, they have the handgun that Goh used, they even have the information from the students who were attacked and the teacher who called for help. What else could they asked for. They should arrest Goh then find the true problem about this incident. It a good deed how the police is trying solve the problem, but shouldn’t they punish Goh first. Even if the police were able to find the reasons why Goh would killed 7 people, they still have to punish him. Either the reasons are good or bad, he had killed 7 people. Because he had killed 7 people, he have to go to jail and receive a punishment, or else it would not be fair to the victim and the victim’s family members. I hope that they would soon punish Goh, but at the same time, I hope they can find the reasons to why Goh would killed seven people and injured three other people in Korean Christian school in Oakland college.

In this piece of writing, I found that my strength in this writing was to organize my ideas and add supported details in each and every paragraphs. I put in reality thoughts and clear ideas to support my main statement. I make sure that i wouldn’t confuse the audience too much with too many details. If I was to start this assignment over, I would focus more on my grammar and asked more advices from my friends.I also thought that I could improve on some of my sentence structure statements.

The first step to organize my ideas is brainstorming. I start by writing down my main statement. After that, I add additional information or supported detail to support my statement, A lot of my ideas come from the songs that I listen to. My declaration of Independence have a main focus between students and teachers. So ipodsor laptop books, paper and games are tools are the first things that pop up in my head. Using tools those tools, I was able to asked more questions and research for more information. Throughout this writing, the problems that I face were connection between sentence and my grammar. For my next assignment, I hope to have more time so that I can check my grammar and sentence structure more carefully.

You once ordered us. We once obeyed you. That will never happen again, not anymore. It’s time for us to say good bye. From today and onward, I hear by the name of middle schoolers, and make a declaration of independence.

Why so sudden? You asked. It’s because we can’t take anymore of your action that is against our will. As students, we have our way of thinking and doing things. We’ve grown, we became young adult and we can make our own decision. Our decision can be wrong. But hey, everybody makes mistakes. Once we’ve learned from our mistakes, we will become stronger than we once were. If we continue obeying your orders, we will never be able to make our own decision, because all we ever learned at school are obeying orders.

Students are not allowed to play games that require hitting: What seriously! What is wrong with playing games that require hitting. Its not like we are hitting each other seriously. We know how to be kind. These games help us relax after many hours of studying.

Can not use ipod during hallway or during class time and during break. Only if a teacher give permission to students to use it: This doesn’t make sense. We are allow to use laptop during hallway during break, than why not ipods. Ipods and laptops have the same function. Actually, laptops have a better function than ipods, then why? Why can’t we use ipods during break time.If you are scared of us listening to bad language or playing or watch things that we are not suppose too, then there are still no reasons, for you to not let us use the ipods, The computer have better internet connection, we can type faster, we can listen to music, play games or watch movie. Anything can happen. There are no good reason for you to ban us from using ipods during break in the hallway.

No gum during school: Why is that? For some of the students, chewing gum helps us concentrate. Many student think of them as duddling. Instead of using our hands, we use our teeth. Not only that, chewing gum, won’t turned us into bad students. We are middle schooler, we learned what we have to do after eating gum. We won’t stick them under the table or the chairs. Again, we take responsibilities.

Students are required to leave school before 3:15: Not all student can leave school before 3:15. When a student stays after 3:15, that student has a reason. An example that most student have is distance. A lot of students in our school live far away from Phu My Hung. Because of that, traffic jam and others consequence can happen during the way. It’s not like they wanted to stay after school. Most students would prefer going home since they can have their own privacy.

Students are not allowed to use ipods, iphone or other technology during WWW ( Week Without Walls): It is our choice and our responsibility to bring ipods, phone or other technology during a school trip. When we bring phone, ipods or other technology with us during a school trip, we are fully aware that it is our responsibility to protect it and not lose it. Even if we lose them during the trip, We can’t blame others since it is our property. Teacher always says, “ ok, but if you lose it, you will take responsibility. I won’t take it for you.” If that is what teachers think, then they would let us bring our phone, ipods or other technology with us

As middle schoolers, we have the right to fight for our freedom, We are on the edge of glory so we won’t let you bring us down. If you ever step in our way. We do any means to bring you down. From today and onward, you won’t be able rule us, and there would be no chance of us obeying your orders. Teacher take advantage or their power to rule us.We will free ourselves from the rules of teachers. Yes, it is a heavy duty and a heavy responsibility, but we had made up our mind. I hear by the name of middle schooler and make a declaration of independence. Again, We here by the name of middle schoolers and make a declaration of Independence

Not like others, Sacrifice treasures life more than anything. When Sacrifice’s parents passed away, he met Shock in the hospital and lost his memories. The only things that make him continue living are the cares of his siblings.

Many people describe him as a time capsule that carried the burden of others. Sacrifice has many friends, but they choose to stay away. Not like others, I want to be friend with sacrifice and tell him that his existence is important. Without him, life would be nothing but selfishness.

Not long after, his sister past away in a car accident. At the same time, he lost his will for living. Like his parents, his sister died in the hospital, so once again, Sacrifice met shock. Now, his memories will truly be gone. Sacrifice meet Revenge and Terror right after he meets shock. Day by day Revenge and Terror becomes his best friend. Together they destroy and hurt other people.

It was decided when he became a martyr. He is ready to die. He’s ready to hurt. He’s prepared for the worst. Nothing can stop him now. Not ever.

Love is our ruler. Love is our goddess. The runes that she cast, can change one’s destiny. Give us hope. Give us a dream. Give us a future. Give us family. Dedicating her will and sacrificing herself, to give us the feeling of crave for something we desperately want.

Love’s favorite color is hot pink. Although, the color of her dress change when ever she meet Hatred, Jealousy, Sacrifice,Sadness, and Happiness. Her songs of life, bring everyone’s peace back from outer space.

Love not only have one personality. She also have another personality which she name herself Destruction. Her beauty and kindness attract all men who she come across. When the men continues chasing her for her beauty and power, her other personality appear. The rage of anger increase day by day and causes many people to suffer. That was when, people realize that Love is not always our goddess. Love can also become the demon queen that creates destruction.
