In class we are making a super animal that has different adaptations from other animal.

My animal is a raccoon, and it is going to live in the trees in the forest and it is going to be called Rirdeleon

Rirdeleon has claws and thumb to help it pick up fallen fruits and catch bugs or hold on to tree branches when it climbs the tree.

If the predators finds it,  it is going to be camouflage itself and make a sound to scare them away and then secretly fly away.

It has a tail to groom itself everyday in the morning and it is also used to attract a mate by the color, the color changes only because of the weather.

It will only have two eyes ( about 3.5 inches far away from the other eye). It has very good eyesight in the morning and night.

Rirdeleon will have 4-6 babies(because the species is going to be pasted on) , and take care of it for about 6-8 month

In fifth grade we are studying about the ecosystem, so all the fifth graders went on  field trip to Cat Tien National Park for three days and two nights. The favorite thing about Cat Tien that I think is when we see the moon bears, and the night safari because we get to chop the fruits and wrap peanut butter, some kind of vegetables, and dog food with banana leaves. Then we get to throw the food over the cage and watch the moon bears eat it. And night safari because you only need to sit in a car and let the wind blow into your face and spot some animals and at the same time enjoy the view. My least favorite part at Cat Tien is when you had to go on a two hour hike because there will be a lot of branches and slippery rocks plus your leg will sore.

I learned that some of my friend are sensitive with sounds/noises, and some really scared of spiders, also not very used to the nature in Cat Tien. I learned that my teacher also sings opera very beautifully. The nature in Cat Tien is different to our school because there are not very many insects that sings  weirdly.

I’m fine with nature. I like nature because I get to see different sounds and animals that is not common in the city. I don’t like nature is also because sometime you would see somethings that you wouldn’t expect to be there .

In fifth grade we are having another field trip to Cat Tien National Park. It is approximately 160 km (100 miles) north east of Ho Chi Minh City. There are many plants and trees that grow in Cat Tien, some of the plants I can find on web is Bamboo trees,, under-storey flowers, and Liana. There are some reptiles and amphibian species, birds,freshwater fishes, and mammal species.

I’m excited to see the animals and the activity we are all doing. I’m nervous about the sleep night. I hope to learn about the animals, trees and plants. 

In my class we have been making the safest vehicle that is going to hold an egg and see if it

Our groups vehicle didn’t end up so well.

First we tested the vehicle with a ping pong ball and it looks pretty safe. And the height of the ramp isn’t really tall so it is not that challenging. so we used the real raw egg to test our vehicle and the result was excellent the egg shell and egg yoke didn’t break. the safe part of our vehicle is the cage we used rubber bands and tied it on the side of each end and plus the rubber band is very soft so if the egg hits the side the rubber band will make it bounce back to its place. If you are trying to make the safest vehicle I suggest you to use rubber bands. I wish my group didn’t use the rubber band as the door. We test the vehicle with a ping pong ball to see if it bumps is hard or not.

I was trying to find out what happens if you put vinegar, baking soda, citric acid, and water into a bag

The result were the  bag will only puff up but not explode

I learned that if you put only vinegar,baking soda, and citric acid without water the three solid will fizz and if you put water in, at the bottom of the bag will get a little cold.

I think it is important for students to do science experiment because they could learn more about science and they will know there mistake and they won’t do it again
