As you can see in super hero movies always the “good” wins the “evil.” Like a super hero movie in Uganda the UN and Uganda army are  fighting with the “evil army” called the Lord’s Resistance Army. They’re fighting because  in Uganda this Kony guy, who is the leader of the LRA, wanted to overthrow the government so he could claim all the power. However that isn’t the only bad decision he made that lead the UN to send there soldiers. He ordered his soldiers to go to little villages in Uganda and capture all the children. Then they used the boys as the soldier and the girl’s as a sex slave. Thats why there is a fight against this two forces. But recently one of the Kony’s man was captured by the Uganda army.

Why would Kony think of using child soldier to start a rebel? Don’t Kony has his own child? This was the two and only question I had while reading this article, so after I read the article I searched how many child does Kony have. And I figured out that he has 42 child at 2006. Won’t he know the pain of the parents if there child is taken away for a war? But then why would he still be using child soldier. That is the question I still don’t understand. By the way the reason I had this question is because I thought about normal parents. They all love they’re own child, but even though Kony is a parent he still uses child soldiers. And this article is important that every one reads. Because everyone should know that there is a human violation that is not being followed. Also so more people can support the UN and the Uganda army.

If I was a soldier inside the LRA, I would be gathering the children who wants to overthrow against Kony. Than help the UN locate where Kony is hiding so the UN can capture Kony. However right now there is no sign of any rebel inside of the LRA so it won’t happen. And because there is no rebels that is going to happen in LRA the UN and the Uganda army should capture Kony as fast as they can. But to make this process faster the wealthy countries should help the UN with weapons or funds. Or maybe we could donate money to the UN so we could fasten the process of capturing Kony.

We are lucky that there is no armed conflict in Vietnam. In Mali there are some armed conflict which is a revolution against the current government. This revolution is leading  many deaths. However the most heart breaking fact about this revolution is that in the revolution children soldiers are being used. A shocking fact about the rebels is that they usually catch young boys who are under 16 on the street during morning or, during the night. However sometimes they catches girls for sex slave or some other reasons.

The questions I have about this article is, “Why isn’t this event some event I never heard of?” I had this question because I always watch the daily news every day. However in my whole 14 years of living I never heard of Mali having a revolution. And to stop the child soldier we first have to tell the world that there is children going to war. Like the Kony 2012 we need to make this revolution famous so more people could support the children who is forced into war.

If I was involved in this situation I would be trying to survive as hard as I can. I will be being really terrified. This article changes my view point to the world that all of the human trafficking happens because someone is to greedy. I think we should try to share all the news that could be helpful to make people to notice that there are people who are suffering badly.

Will there be a new diseases coming out? When you look at all the oil spills in the world, usually the scientist says that it is very deadly, that can lead into food chain problems. Which didn’t happen until now. This year the environmental scientist figured out a terrifying impact that the oil spill lead to in the Gulf of Mexico. The oil spill had lead to having a Mutant seafood. Which is not scientifically proven by the FDA, EPA, and NOAA that it is eatable for humans.

How could the mutant seafood effect us in Vietnam was a question that I had during reading this article. As I thought to my self I figured out some ways that this mutant fish could enter Vietnam. The only way I think the mutant seafood could enter Vietnam is by having the oil to flow into Vietnam’s river. Or else I think Vietnam won’t struggle a lot because of this oil spill.

The  relates to me because in 2007, there was a oil spill in Korea that took 2 years to clean the sea 100%. So I think that the government should start cleaning the oil fast as they can. Because the oil spill in Korea wasn’t that big. However it took two years to clean the whole sea. So I bet that the Mexico should start cleaning the sea first for they’re citizens safety.

Imagination

Imagination is still dreaming. The day dream land that he controls as a tyrant. His day dreams never stops until he has a marker flying into him. This normal sized guy can make anyone fascinated except for, Reality. Reality is the one and only enemy that Imagination has. He is a genius and also a really generous student. But when Imagination and Reality starts talking, then there is a problem. If Imagination says, “I bet I could earn billion dollars.” Then the Reality will say “Nowadays the economy is not stable so you won’t be able to make billions of dollars.” So Imagination never liked Reality. Also in school Imagination always makes creative and reasonable excuses for not doing his homework. But always Reality catches Imagination and tells the teacher the truth (that Imagination didn’t do his homework). That’s why he is always at the principal’s office.

Fantasy is Imaginations best friend. Fantasy looks like a twin brother of Imagination because they look similar and also they think exactly the same! And they act exactly the same! But, they’re interests are both different. Fantasy loves, “Unicorns.” However, Imagination loves money because he always dreams himself to be a billionaire. So when Fantasy receives his allowance he visits the comic book store for the latest edition. But Imagination purchases apple’s product or some electronics that adults use. Right now Imagination is a student. However, he is writing a Fictional story about a boy earning a billion dollar after he had a dream.

Is being Poor a Crime?

Article: www.guardian.co.uk/global-development/2012/apr/11/dhaka-bangladesh-slum-dwellers-eviction?newsfeed=true

By: Syed Zain Al-Mahmood

In Bangladesh there was one big situation that happened which had involved “Poverty” in human rights. The government asked the citizen who was living in the slums near the road. So the government asked the citizens living in the slums to move out until 10 feet because they needed to within the road. However the government had went over 50 feet without telling any people. So many people who was living there were seriously injured by the bulldozers or lost there fortune.

While I was reading this heart breaking news. I had one question the whole time. Why would the government do something that could have killed a few citizen? Greed? Money? Was this the reason why the Bangladesh governments did this? Because of MONEY? Why would all humans have greed or money? Why don’t we just live helping each other to live well all together?

This article shows me that the world won’t be able to change the poverty. Until about 100 years. And the reason I think it would take 100 years to fix poverty. Because to fix poverty more and more people have to stop there own greed. To help other people with what you have. So to fix the poverty I think it will take about 100 years which is really hard. However even if this is a hard human right to change but when we change poverty the world won’t have any problems.

I Wish I was… (Free Writing4)

Posted in Mckinnon, Middle School on April 17, 2012 by

I wish I was…

I wish I was a billioner

I wish I was a CEO

But its all, part of my imagination.

When children think about “I wish I was,” normally the children as more vague or massive wishes/dreams then the adults. This is related to the IQ and the knowledge. For example children say “I wish I want to be a president.” Or even some children say they wish to be a “DRAGON!!” However if you ask the adults they answer the question 100 % different from the children. Like; “I wish I get more money from my company.” Or, “I wish our company promote me faster.” Finally sometimes they say “I wish the stocks go up.” And the reason why the adults have a wish which can come true cause of there knowledge. But the children wishes to be a impossible wishes. Which means that all wishes that a adult makes are usually more realistic.

And my younger cousin wants to be a dragon right now.

Traditional Practice Vs. Human Rights

Article: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/04/06/in-south-sudan-girls-are-given-away-to-settle-family-feuds.html

By: Tom Rhodes

In many country the human right is not being followed. Especially, people in Southern Sudan is violating the human rights law. The Southern Sudan is using the girls to get punished if they’re family murdered someone. For example if you murdered a guy name Bob then you have to give a girl family member to Bob’s family. And then the girls will be working as a slave or they would be raped. So the UN had told the Southern Sudan government to stop violating the human rights. However the Southern Sudan told the UN, “This is an old traditional practice, so we won’t stop our culture.

The Southern Sudan is a country that just have become a independent country. So I understand that the Southern Sudan government can’t change that first because they have to fix there economy first. However why won’t the whole world try to change the Southern Sudan so more “woman,” can be equal to mans? Also I think this situation is like the global warming. Because only some country is rich enough to start to stop the pollution. But the countries that have to little money can’t start cleaning there land so the richer country should help. Then the whole world will be happier.

If I’am involved in this practice I would rather suicide then get all this humiliation. Also In my opinion a way to stop the Sudan’s practice is to make a world wide known campaign like the “Kony campaign.” Then more people will know about this practices then we could donate money to the Southern Sudan to become a stable country, so the country can protect they’re own citizens.

The Innocent Death

Posted in Middle School, Richert with tags on April 10, 2012 by

In the Bible page Isaiah 41:10, it states “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” This means that the god will stay with you all the time to protect you from the evils. However in Oikos University, which is a religious university, 7 people had died and 3 people were injured. They were found dead after all the students in the university evacuated. After they found all the dead bodies the police asked the witnesses “What had happened?” The witnesses told the police that their was a gun man (who is a student of that university) who fired about 20 bullets inside the university. So totally 9 people was shot by the gun, in a religious university. Why didn’t the god protect the 7 students who were dead. And why did the religious student who believed in god kill 7 students? Also how could the gun man bring in the gun into the university without getting caught by the security? After this case I think the Oikos University should strengthen there security or it would be better if they make a checkpoint which could help spot the murders trying to enter the university.

Chinese Reflection Unit 7

Posted in Middle School on March 23, 2012 by

This unit we learn how to say the words we need to use at the chinese market. For example; 市场=market, 买=buy, 卖=sell, 钱=money, 贵=expensive, 便宜=cheap. However in this unit we also learned more about the sentences we use in the chinese market and the measure word that is really important to speak chinese like;

我去市场.T
wo qu shichang.
I’m going to the market.

你有多少钱?
ni you duo shao qian?
How much money do you have?

他送给我一见礼物.
ta song gei wo yi jian liwu.
He gave me a gift.

我买一顶的草码.
wo mai yi ding de caomao.
I bought one straw hat.

So in my opinion if we learn more about the the chinese market I think that I can be good enough to go to the chinese market and speak to the market owners.

Declaration of Independence

Posted in Middle School, Richert on March 23, 2012 by

Preamble

To gain the rights of students we have to write this declare independence. The independence that will separate us from the teacher. Also the independence that can help us, as a student, and independence that will show the world our pains we receive from the school and teachers.

Declaration of Independence

To obtain these rights, teachers should enable students to do whatever the students want. However if the school wants to use the power to help us we wouldn’t declare  our independence. However the school used the power to earn their greed so it is now our duty and rights to change the mind of the school or call independence from it.

List of Grievances

Until now students were very patient to with the teachers and the schools, but with this long term of pain and mistreats by the teachers towards students. And now it is time to tell the world what was happening;

  • They gave us bad food which is too expensive.
  • They shortened our recess which was our only entertainment at the school life.
  • They let us go late for class and we all got in trouble.
  • They used us as a Ginny Pig  to earn their greed.
  • They made us lose lose our sense of social society by forcing us to study only.

Statement of Prior Attempts to Redness of Grievances

Even after explaining all this mistreatment to the world the schools are still mistreating us. We even appealed our feelings to our family and our friends. However our appeals have been all ignored. And now we must announce that we are separating from our school and our teachers.

Resolution of Independence

Now the representatives of the students. Presents this facts to the world that we are separating away from the school and the teachers. And we solemnly write and declare that the students are now independent from the school. Also we as a student want to return to school as soon as it changes.
