My Perfect Year

My Perfect Year
I have played soccer for 10 years. I love the game. I dream of putting the ball in the back of the net.I have one problem I never could score.I would always hit the woodwork. I have never got first place in a soccer tournament before. I remember last season I started from the bench and I didn’t score one goal. This year I started on the pitch and on the first game of the season I scored. I missed 2 games this year. Both against AMIS ( they must have a curse on me). I have played really well and when I got chosen for MRISA, I was not at school at the time so it was a bit of a surprise.
It was My first MRISA soccer and I got to go to Thailand which is an amazing place. I have had bad hosts when it comes to MRISA’s. I was hoping this one would be good. He was nice but the trip from school to his house was a long time. 1 hour and 20 minutes. It was 12 o’clock when Unchan and I got to the hosts house and we were hungry so we ate pizza. The house was big. And was made out of marble ( I think they were rich). I was just getting over being sick so I was not feeling 100% on the airplane so I said I need to get some sleep.
The next morning nice and early because I shower first and need to put in my contacts I felt great and I was ready to play. I when we got to the school after a gruelling long drive we
joined the rest of the teams and listen to the director speak. A few moments later we had our photo’s taken.
Then the games began. We won every game that day and I scored 1 goal but I should have scored 2. The next day we played the home team in the semi final and we blew them away. Me and Mizuki scoring 2 goals each and Ben Wong scoring an own goal. We won 4-1 and now to the final. Against our arch enemy ISHCMC and we knew it was going to be a good game. Before we started our team did our dance to get rid of nerves and It started. They never had a chance, we won it easy 2-0. We are the back to back MRISA champs. At this point I have 16 goals in the season. With the city’s to come. I never thought that we would win MRISA but we did so. For our last meal we ate McDonald’s and we ate a lot 3 burgers each with chips and a drink. Everything was so cheap there.
Two days after we arrived back in Vietnam we had our cities and once again we won every game but the surprising thing was we were playing ISHCMC again. That was bad for us because we knew we could beat them so we relaxed. We attacked the whole game intil out of know were they scored put us behind. There was only about 5 minutes left and we needed to score and the last person you think would score, scored. Long Long Do. It went straight to penalties. First to kick was Unchan he scored. They scored. Then It was Mizuki, he had this very long run up which scared me but he scored. They scored once again. Then it was me. I hate penalties but I am good at them I put the ball down on the soaked grass stepped back in the puddles and smashed it into the net. If ISHCMC missed the game was over. But they didn’t. A pattern kept going on and on in till Hyun jun. He missed, meaning T had to save the goal and what a save it was, diving to his left. We scored again. They came to kick and when he kicked it T went the wrong way but it hit the woodwork and it was over. we have come from behind and won. This was a amazing time for me and I hope I can try and go next year.

In these walls.

Tell me what did you learn all these years?
Tell me what are you gonna take away from here.
We spent 3 years growing up together
And the time the it took felt like forever, well for me it did.
As we wait, I’ll tell you what I learned.
I learned how to laugh, I learned how to debate
I learned to enjoy every moment as it’s passing by
I learned how to live, I learned how to divide
I learned how to work hard and never give up
And the rest is just luck
And I might have picked up a thing and two
From the textbooks that I read
But don’t tell anyone; I’ll never admit that I did
But I learned that life begins outside these walls
Thanks for the memories that we had in these halls.
Sports was one thing I learnt to respect but now there is much more than I can take in.
High schools a New year and so lets get ready for new fears.

Recent new’s has come in that the UN and US Army are stepping up the chase to capture Kony. If you dont know who kony is by now then you should be watching this.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc. The LRA ( Lord’s Resistance Army) Is a group of people that are kidnapping children making them into sex slaves And child soldiers. So Now that Kony know’s that the World is looking for him he is running but there is a Problem Africa is a very big place. But in The World favor the Forces have just captured one of the LRA leading officials.

Its is Interesting Why Kony is doing this. All he want’s is to be a leader so why doesn’t he just run for president? But know he wants to lead the whole world which is not going to happen. He has had lots of Wives there are people that say he has had 81 and 66. But he has had lots. Why would he take children though? Is it because maybe he cant have children or just doesn’t like them? Know one knows what goes through his mind. Its his choice.

If I was captured by the LRA and was forced to become a child soldier it would be hard to run because there is that chance of getting caught. So If i had to risk my life to save others I would use my gun that they give me and I will go up to Kony and shoot him. Only problem I dont know where he is.Since I dont I would Hope this War can get resolved very soon.

In Southern USA there has been a problem for the past to years. The oil spill that happened in the Atlantic ocean has now damaged more that just the water. Its the wild life the seafood and plants. Nice this is happening people in america have been served mutated fish. This is very dangerous because it will affect the food chain, And could spread all around the world. If we don’t stop this it will affect us soon. Why after two year they figure this out?

This can affect us because seafood is a very import and export product and if people start eating this seafood it could lead to bad health problems. Lots of Vietnamese seafood does come from Vietnam but that doesn’t mean we still cant get affected but I dont think we will suffer that much to this problem.

This happens in Vietnam everyday but not to this extreme. Ok there is bad river system here but they still get food so i would how USA are going to deal with it. I Have lived here for a very long time but this has not affected me. But If there citizens of Southern USA and Mexico dont start to try and clean out this oil spill that is affect them for 2 year how is it going to be in 4 or 6 year. Worst or Fixed that’s the big question and know one has an answer.

Traditions of Pain

Killing someone is a horrible thing but someone else getting the blame for it is worse. This is what happens In South Sudan. The sad thing is only girls get punished.

“Atia Odongi was 8 years old when her family gave her away. A crime had been committed in her town of Torit in South Sudan—Atia was selected to pay the price.” Atia’s Brother killed a man over a cattle argument so in return of what he has done Atia will have to live with a different family. The new family will give revenge to the girl or hurt her. One thing That I don’t understand is that why would you marry a 9 year old and why marry the person that is getting beat? Many Girls try to kill them selves. Atia tried twice. The girl get raped, beaten and branded for something that they didn’t even do… Cattle In Sudan is like money the more cows you have the richer but does that mean that your sister or relative has to take the blame of doing something that they didn’t even see or do. The traditional culture still goes on but when is it going to stop?

In this case I am not a girl but If I was the one to commit the crime I would not let any of my relatives take the blame for something they had nothing to do with. If I had to I would give my self in or even let them kill me so my family does have to suffer them selves. This changes my view of our world a lot and now I think Where else is this happening in the world. What countries don’t have jails? If this happened in Vietnam or Phu My Hung I would move or even Stand up to say something to the government to do something and make a difference.

Sweet to Sour

The Recovery

Everyone knows who Jeremy Lin is. If not he is the New York sensation of the NBA.  The young talented PG (point guard) recently went in to surgery for a knee injury ( This is a season ending). 6 days ago he has come out and has had a great recovery so far. But that is not the problem, The problem is for the New York Knicks to make the playoff’s without a point guard. Currently sitting in 8th Place. They will need to stay there or go up to make the cut. The good news is if they do make it Jeremy Lin might be back in time. After having a dream start to his career it has gone sour on him.  In the 26 games he played for the Knicks his stats were amazing for a young pickup  from the development league. His stats were 18 points per game, 8 assists per game and 3 rebounds.

Since now the Knicks have to play there back up point guard Baron Davis. At the age of 33 his legs and knees are weak and not as quick in his prime. I am not a New York fan But I really hope they were going somewhere with the superstar players they had a with Jeremy Lin and For Now it looks like that out the window!  In Lin’s recovery he has biked and walked but “It’s the cutting and the jumping that’s going to be the tricky part,” he said. So Basketball Will start for him in 3 to 4 weeks. So to all the Lin-sanity Fan’s out there Will be hoping he will be back in time for playoff’s if the Knicks can make it there…

Delaration of Independence

Posted in Uncategorized on March 23, 2012 by

When in the course of human events, it becomes  a duty of a student to break any agreement with our school and teachers in order to have our own independence. We must prove why us students want to declare independence and show that we are equal to teachers and we are human too.

Since we are all equal, we have the right to have some respect and to be happy. Mistreatment will not be accepted. If we as students have any rights against teachers and our school, we must take the control out of their hands and into ours. We shall get independence and so will they.

For years we have been asking for changes, but nothing has happened. Here are some of the horrible things that never have been changed:

  • They make us wear heavy material uniforms.
  • The food prices blow the roof off.
  • They make us share a gym with young students that have a playground and we have nothing.
  • They cram lots of tests in one week.
  • They don’t let us go off campus to eat.

We have tried over and over to voice our concerns, but every time you decline our requests.  But now you will pay for that. We have tried to compromise, but you have gone deaf to our ideas. So now we are moving on, separating ourselves from school and our teachers. We will decide who teaches and who doesn’t, because we are one.

Now we finally have decided to declare ourselves independent from the world and to make ourselves our own nation. By the votes and decisions of our student body and the insincerity shown to us by ignoring our grievances. We will become Independent!

Our Brave Chance

Posted in Uncategorized on March 8, 2012 by

Indulge in the illusions of hope.

Win back our love!

The act of disloyalty towards our people.

We have petitioned,

We have remonstrated,

We have supplicated,

We have prostrated

Before our majesty.

We must fight!

Our chains have been forged.

And we need to break them.

Why are they here?

there are navies and armies are coming…

Trust it not, Sir; Our brethren are already in the field.

If we wish to be free, the phantom of hope won’t do anything!

Peace is so sweet but is life worth it?

Our nation has betrayed us.

Children cry in the vision of violence.

We have to stand brave.

It seems like its us against the world.

If I die it will be for our holy cause.

The war as begun!

I will struggle against our enemy and if we conquer the debate will be over.

We have been treated like slaves and sir we are not.

So lets challenge them.

But as for me Syria , GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!

(This is about the war going on in Syria)
