This is unbelievable, animals are part of nature and our environment. Some people may think that animals aren’t worth it and nothing compared to humans, but that’s not true. They are really special and had balance our world. The idea of zoos giving up on animals is just unacceptable, it’s part of their job to do whatever it takes to help the animals. Giving up is not an option. Giving up on the animals means that they’re no longer people who had ever love or care about animals. All animals are important, even though some of them are really aggressive compared to others. It’s not the animals’ fault that they’re wild, it’s their nature and background. Saying that some animals are useful and some aren’t, they’re all different from each other, but they shouldn’t be mistreated because of that. The lion-tailed macaques is carrying some disease that could be dangerous, but that shouldn’t be the reason why people should let them be extinct, in order to get rid of it, there are doctors and vets around the world that could help get rid of the disease.

Comparing the population of humans to animals, we’re overpopulating them and taking up their homes. People cut down trees and forests, just to build more and more buildings. The population of animals is decreasing, it’s not going to be easy as pie to bring the population back. Think of the future, what would the world be like without animals? Only humans and not a single shadow of an animal? In the beginning of this world, animals were here first. They shared Earth with humans who later came. So, shouldn’t we do the same and repay them? We can’t betray them after what they did to us. To save these animals, we should raise public awareness to rescue the animals. Zookeepers should take care of the animals and guard them from harm. Their homes have been destroyed and lack of resources, it’s awful. Some animals are being killed just because people want to steal their loyal skin to make clothing, it’s just horrible. Animals shouldn’t be use and treated like that. Earth is the homes to not only humans but to animals, share the world with everyone not just yourselves. Show some heart. Show the animals that we’re not selfish thieves who are trying to steal their homes or anything. No matter what, even though we’re different species, together we share a whole new world. SHARING IS CARING!

Time has passed
From a little kid to a teenager
All the things I been through
With regrets and experience
Some memories that leave a smile on my face
While some made me want to punch the wall
Fear of people judging me of who I am
Thinking I’m not cool enough for them
The misery I was in
Hating myself
However I thought again

What makes them think they’re so cool

Thinking that other people are below their level

Their cold, icy stare as they look down at me

Right in front of my face as if I wasn’t worth it

As they walk down the hallway, they thought that people admire them

But no, not everybody

Popularity doesn’t give them the rights to disrespect others

Actually, they’re hiding themselves from the real world

People can’t just force everybody to admire or like them

In life, there are some people who will like you

And some who wouldn’t

Even though, there are people who dislike me

I will not hide under the shadows

And change into a whole different person for the people who dislike me

I exist, so that I can be myself

I can’t just live my life being someone else who isn’t me

People should start realizing that

The sound of droplets dripping down from after the rain
The full moon surrounded by millions of tiny stars

The wind-swept blowing against me strongly

From where I am, it is so silent and quiet

The only sound I hear is myself breathing

As I glance into the ancient forest, all my stress seem to be forgotten

In the forest, there were no emptiness

People swimming in the lake

Kids playing cheerfully like they’re in their own field

People dance elegantly, which seems so bright

It was freedom

I am from the world of worry
Since I worry way too much
My mind always think or wander every time
I want to stop worrying, but it just wouldn’t stop
I felt like my head is about to explode like a volcano

The word of stress comes

So it’s hard for me to relax.
My thoughts would gang up on my head, which make my head spinning
And dizzy
I easily get distracted
Which make me concerned

I have many fears

Which cause me to be scared and afraid
I was frozen with fears
Panic comes

Tears coming down my eyes like droplets coming down from the rain

I don’t understand why the government was involved in the idea of cutting down trees in the forest. There are even people living in the forest, and wouldn’t it impact the people? Cutting down trees is not only bad for the environment, but for the people as well. What if one day there was a rainfall and there’s no tree roots to take in the water, it might wash away the soil and cause runoff whic can turn into floods. Also, it would be even more difficult to grow plants. Animals could get endangered as well, since trees are homes to most animals. Cutting down trees could cause global warming because of the increase of carbon dioxide. I don’t get why the govenment thinks that it’s protecting land, it’s more like they’re denying what they did wrong.

In a lot of countries in the whole world, there are usually problems that involve the government and the people. The government always think that they have the rights to rule everything and no one can stop them from doing what they wish, but it’s not right. They can’t always care about themselves and ignore the people in need. The job of the government is to make things fair and equal for everyone, they have to look after the people. The government have to do the right things and not believe that they are always right. They can’t force other people to live the life under someone else’s orders, because if so, then what is the point of living when people is controlling you and all you can do is keep your mouth shut? Why should we turn into a chicken, when we have a mouth to talk back? Mr. Chut Wutty definitely talked back to the government and he wasn’t one bit scared at all. That’s what people should do, when they believe in what is right. People should speak with a powerful and strong tone, show them that we’re not scared and we deserve what we call HUMAN RIGHTS!

This week article is about the people in Dhaka’s Korail, whose homes were being destroyed and now they don’t have enough resources in order to survive. There were no food, water, and such more, which is terrible. “They lied to us,” said Islam, standing in the rubble of his former home on Sunday. “I lost everything I had – my stock, my house and household belongings. There was no time to move anything. We tried to talk to the magistrate in charge, but the riot police drove us back.” I cannot believe that the government had lied to the people and could get away with it, it’s not right and is extremely unfair. The people had lost everything and yet the government are completely ignoring them, the government doesn’t have the rights to be in charge of everything. They’re not the boss of everybody and they can’t just do whatever they like. The government should repay the people what they had lost.

“One young girl was crushed under a bulldozer during the forced evictions.” I’m really shock and mad, this is just unacceptable and something should be done about this! I wonder if the young girl was crushed on purpose or was it an accident? But, whoever was on the bulldozer should have known or something. Another thing I wonder was that is she still alive and just badly injured? A lot of bulldozers came, so probably a lot of people might got injured or something. However, I do hope that the young girl is okay. “Several hundred people from the Korail slum staged a sit-in on the airport road, bringing traffic to a standstill. They agreed to move after the district administration announced the evictions would stop”. It’s a good thing that the people are protesting to stop the evictions, since it’s cannot be continued like this. People shouldn’t be expelled from their homes, it’s their property and it’s wrong to kick someone out of their own property. So, I’m glad that it had worked out.

I think that where ever in the world, everybody have human rights and everyone should understand what human rights are. Also, human rights can never be taken away no matter what. They are important since they can protect humans from harm. Everyone deserved to be free and not trapped under someone’s orders. People should respect one another and treat each other equally. Wealth has nothing to do with human rights, doesn’t mean that rich people have more rights than others. People should start believing in that.

This week, we’re reading an article about the new Google reality glasses that is going to be released soon. “Pair of spectacles that interact with what you’re seeing and acts as a smartphone, day planner, turn-by-turn navigation system, camera and more.” Wow! That sounds pretty cool and awesome, it would be quite useful to our daily life since it have what we need. Instead of going everywhere carrying a big bag to bring everything we need which is quite tiresome, we can just wear the reality glasses which is much more light than a big bag full of materials.

“In addition to smartphone functionality, however, the Google glasses attempt to interact with the world that it sees in front of and around the wearer, “augmenting” or supplementing the reality that the wearer experiences.” In my opinion what worries me is that if the Google glasses have everything a smartphone has, then wouldn’t it be a problem for the people who sells smartphones? Many people could be buying the Google glasses since it has everything a smartphone has, so then less people would buy the smartphones.  This google glasses has a lot of technology as well, so wouldn’t it affects the other technology companies as well? Google could be making a lot of money due to these glasses. I have a feeling that this invention of Google reality glasses could really be the future soon, that is heading our way.

For next year in high school, this quarter I want to improve on facing my weakness and challenging myself. My weakness is studying for tests/quizzes that is coming up, I want to use my time wisely and not social-network or anything when I’m not suppose to. I easily get distracted by the Internet and then soon end up wasting my time. In order to improve my test scores, I should focus and concentrate on my work. Since, I don’t have much self-confidence, I shouldn’t put pressure myself and should make me believe that  I could do better in the future. When my learning isn’t what I expected, I should learn from my mistakes and gain courage. In class, I should pay attention to the teachers and ask questions if I don’t understand.  Getting good grades isn’t easy, so I should work harder and better on everything. If I challenged myself, use my time wisely, focus, concentrate, gain some confidence, believe in myself, pay attention in class, and ask questions regularly, I think that I would be able to improve.

We can’t just avert away from our troubles
Stand and be brave like a soldier
Never give up, I say
Freedom is what we want
So why turn weak like a coward
Without any strengths

To show our patriotism to our Majesty
Should we fight and never give up?
Hope for the best
Forget the past
Look out to the future
Time never waits for anyone

Don’t care about how vain they are
Indulge in your beliefs, dispose the stress
Believe in yourself to stop the anguish
And the struggles
Try to cope with their selfishness

Why would we beseech them,
When all they do is to torture us
Remonstrate against the unfairness

Regarded yourself of who you want to be
Try your best to so you wouldn’t lose to your adversary
I repeat again, never give up!

If walking in the colonist’s shoes, I would feel really angry at the British and would join the militia because I think that they put way too much pressure on the America colonists by making the colonists obey their rules. The British had created laws for themselves, not even thinking about how it made the colonists feel. Like the Sugar Act and Stamp Act for example, it was way too expensive for the colonists to afford and if the colonists keep on spending all their money of the sugar and stamps. Soon, everyone will end up broke.

Therefore, I think that the colonists should fight back with the British and let the British know that they don’t have the rights to order people around. The British can’t just charge unfair tax on the colonists and not give the colonists any say to the laws or tax, it’s like the British looked down on the colonists and thought that the colonists were just weaklings.

“For my own part, I consider it as nothing less than a question of freedom or slavery….” Forcing the colonists to follow their rules with no rights at all, the colonists could have felt like they were in a cage with no escape from the British laws. It’s like being a slave who wish to have their freedom, but couldn’t be able to say so. The way the British are treating the colonists is no different from a slave that is treated badly by their cruel owner.

“We are to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till they transforms us into beasts.” The colonists can’t just hold the pain inside of them all the time, they can’t take it! They can’t just bow their heads and live by the laws, that they can’t accept. Keeping their mouth shut isn’t the key to change the British’s mind, they must fight and show that the British can’t take away their property rights and freedom. If the colonists keep on being treated unfairly by the government, then what is the point of living when they’re being force to live under the law of someone else? Fairness and freedom is an unalienable right that the British can’t take away from the colonists!
